Retired Ubuntu for my desktops

I find now, as a Linux user for 7 years now, that I prefer working on the command line to get things done. Because of this I see elaborate desktops as a waste of resources. There are times when I need to test applications on a desktop but I primarily keep it shell. I have been searching for a lightweight distro to adopt as my goto distro. I find I prefer a Debian based distro so, first one up Debian Linux. We'll see how it goes.
